Birmingham Dogs Home was founded in 1892, and is a charity which can only survive through the generosity and support of the general public and benefactors from the local community. Without this we would be unable to carry on the vital work of rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs.
Our mission is to rescue, reunite and re-home the lost, abused and abandoned dogs from the streets of the West Midlands and South Staffordshire.
BDH provided care and support for over 3,200 stray and neglected dogs in 2016. With no Government funding we rely totally on the generous public to help us raise vital funds each year, and without their support we simply wouldn’t survive.
BDH has two rehoming Centres; our new Birmingham Centre at Catherine-de-Barnes, and our Sunnyside Centre in Wolverhampton, which boast state-of-the-art accommodation for the many dogs that arrive on a daily basis.
