The Start / Times
The Start is located at Connaught Road. Please follow the signs to the start displayed in West Park. Please report to the appropriate event start section (these will be identified by signage boards). Please ‘queue’ behind the appropriate board and wait for your signal to start. You will need to be in place at least 15 minutes before your designated start time.

Cut Off Time
This year the cut off time for finishing all events is 2:15pm. After this there will be no support out on the course.
Half Marathon Relay – Change Over Points
1st Leg – Approx 6k – Start to Rakegate School – WV1 4SQ
2nd Leg – Approx 5k – Rakegate School to Morrisons – WV10 6US
3rd Leg – Approx 4k – Morrisons to Claregate Pub – WV9 5NP
4th Leg – Approx 6k – Claregate Pub to Finish in the Park – WV6 9ED
Health & Safety
No attempt should be made to move vehicles from the park between 8.30am and 3.00pm, until after the runners/cyclists and childrens mini-marathon entrants have left the park area.
There are plenty of toilets in West Park for use before and after the race and limited access to toilets out on the course.
NO PARKING IS AVAILABLE AROUND WEST PARK FOR COMPETITORS OR SPECTATORS. There are a number of car parks in and around Wolverhampton City Centre – CHARGES WILL APPLY:
Fold Street, WV1 4LP open from 06.00 am
Mander Centre, Bell Street, WV1 3NH open from 7.30 am
Broad Street, WV1 1JD open from 05.00 am
Market Car Park, Peel Street, WV3 0SW open from 06.00am
A medical tent will be provided at the Finish in West Park and will be staffed by members of St. John Ambulance. There will be first aid posts around the course.
A baggage vehicle facility is provided in West Park. Items will be kept securely, free of charge on the Carver Curtain Sided vehicle, which will be clearly displayed in the Park. Any items handed in are left entirely at the owners risk. The organisers accept no responsibility for any lost or damaged items.
For the Family
While you are running, your family and friends will be able to watch the attractions in West Park, have hot or cold drinks and food and Banks’s Bar will be open from 9:30am. Thee the takings from beer sales are given to our chosen charities.
Entries will be taken in West Park on Saturday 31st August between 9.30am and 5.00pm. The entry desk will then close.
If you find yourself unable to take part in the running or cycling events please let us know. Numbers can be passed on to another person but if we are not informed that person will not appear in the official results list as they will be disqualified. This applies if q person changes their event on the day.
An enthusiastic crowd makes all the difference to participants, so please give your support along the course, however you are reminded to respect local residents and dispose of your litter responsibly.
Use Of Audio Headsets And Mobile Phones or Earphones
IAAF Competition Rules DO NOT permit the use of any form of audio headset or mobile telephone within the competition area (this includes ROAD and CROSS COUNTRY RACES).
Promoters may restrict use and disqualify any runner found to be contravening the instruction.
Results will be available to view here on our website after they have been verified. Please note this will not be immediately following the event.
Runners must display their race number on their fronts and ensure the race number is not obscured in anyway i.e. coats etc. We are continuing to offer chip timing for the running and cycling events. Please make sure you complete your personal details on the back of your number. Do not attempt to remove the cheap from the back of the number.
Keep to the left hand side of the road unless otherwise directed by Marshall. Each mile will be clearly marked and water stations will be available where only water will be provided. Water stations will be provided on the half and 10k routes only. Please be advised that we do not provide any energy drinks along the route or at the finish. Water stations are to be used by runners only.
All finishers in the Carvers Half Marathon, Paycare Half Marathon Relay, Banks’s 10k and the Berriman Eaton Cycle Event will receive a medal and a technical t-shirt.
After the Race
Prize presentations will take place as soon as possible after each race. There are prizes for the first three in each event and there will be veteran age group categories. These will not be awarded on the day but will be posted out. On production of your race number you can visit Central Baths for a complimentary shower and swim by kind permission of City of Wolverhampton Council.
